BEST LOCATIONS FOR BEAUTIFUL SUMMER PHOTOS AT NOSE HILL PARk

Nose Hill Park in Calgary is a natural environment park with off-leash areas and hiking trails that covers over 11 square kilometres. Where on earth should you get photos at Nose Hill Park then? As a local Calgary lifestyle photographer, I can honestly say you can't go wrong no matter which parking lot you end up at. They will all lead you to the most picturesque photo spots. There is a good mix of rolling hills with beautiful, lush deciduous trees, and some locations include views of the city skyline. Not to mention there are so many incredible photo opportunities at golden hour at Nose Hill park. In fact, my favourite spots kind of feel like you're not even in the city and those types of locations are always my favourite for photo sessions. The best photographer will work with you to find the spot that best tells your story.

As you can see, Nose Hill Park is sooo dreamy, romantic & earthy! Soft, subtle colours like pinks, greens & creams go beautifully with the rolling hills and grass. However, bold colours, blacks & whites, work well in this photo location too, as you will see in the couples session I captured as well. The sky really is the limit and it's up to you to decide. Since I have done a number of photo sessions at Nose Hill Park in different locations, I can assure you that no matter what type of session you are needing, Nose Hill Park is a beautiful location for summer photos. Whether it's a family, a couple, a mama-to-be maternity session, or yes, even a newborn session, Nose Hill Park is a perfect location for all. There is so much variety among this huge park! You really can't go wrong!

My favourite locations to shoot at are within 2 minutes easy walk from the parking lot. One of my favourite spots even has portable toilets at the parking lot, perfect for families with kids and expecting mamas. Obviously Calgary can be unpredictable when it comes to weather, but my favourite locations aren't too windy either. Again, this is essential for families with young kids or even an outdoor newborn session.
