That's exactly what Julie & Colin did when they were expecting their sweet little babe. On this day in late August, we met at a central location just beside Eau Claire Market. With an hour of session time, we leisurely walked through Prince's Island Park to find both dreamy & urban vibes to celebrate this special, fleeting chapter in their lives. It wasn't very busy & the sun was shining perfectly for our early evening session. These two had THE sweetest chemistry too, making for the most beautiful session.

For dreamy maternity photos in Calgary's inner-city, the river by Prince's Island Park is perfect. There are lots of places to shoot along the river, with sand, grass or cool rocks to utilize, and the greenery along the river compliments the scene perfectly. If you time it right, you get magical late evening light coming through the trees, which makes the photos extra romantic & dreamy. Who doesn't want that for their maternity photos?

Along the paths in Prince's Island Park, you'll find beautiful trees, modern benches & most importantly, epic views of Calgary's cityscape & funky bridges. These views create lots of urban photo opportunities for your maternity session. You can walk amongst the canopy of trees, you can relax on the benches and you can embrace with the famous Peace Bridge in the background. That's exactly what we did to get these images.
