MY SUPER POWER IS BRINGING OUT HEARTFELT, AUTHENTIC MOMENTS THAT ARE TRUE TO YOU.
I will never ask you to fake a moment. I am there to capture your story as it unfolds & preserve your memories to slow time. I will help prompt & guide you on how to make our session the best it can be, but I'll always give you the space to be you. I've been told by numerous clients that I'm very patient & relaxed, which makes it easy for people to be comfortable & authentic with me.
A few things you should definitely know about me...
I'm here to preserve your memories & celebrate your family no matter which chapter you're in.
You could be a couple in love, an expecting mother, a family of four - or a woman stepping into her power. It's simple - My mission is to turn your fading memories into beautiful imagery that will help you celebrate where you are and who you are becoming.
My approach prioritizes natural moments and authentic connections.
Posed, stiff images & forced smiles? Not my style. Airbrushed faces? Also not my style. I like real. Real emotions, real beauty, real connections. I love standing back and watching moments unfold as I work with you. Capturing the smiles, snuggles, laughs, tears and "everyday" moments & details...so when you look back on your photos, you can feel them.
I'm here to make this as stress-free as possible from start to finish.
As a mother of a little guy, I know the days are wild, messy & busy! There's always an endless list of things to do and no time to do them. Certainly, there's never a good time to book photos right?! But what if I told you there is time? From the beginning to the end, I'm here to do all the heavy-lifting, the planning, and the grunt work so to speak. All you have to do is show up & be your beautiful selves!
My journey so far...
Though I learned to use my DSLR in 2013 after taking the journalism program at SAIT, it wasn't until my son was born in 2020 that my real love affair with photography began. I was fascinated with capturing every detail, every emotion, every milestone. Like many mamas before me, I quickly discovered how fast time goes when children are involved and I wanted to slow it down, if even just for a moment. I also realized that mamas everywhere, myself included, were always behind the camera and I wanted to change that.
My passion for capturing authentic moments and freezing moments in time quickly escalated into a business. I've since taken numerous online courses taught by industry powerhouses and one mind-blowing workshop with the insanely talented Liz from Spruce & Sparrow, who challenged me to learn different lighting and compositional techniques, as well as taught the intricacies of working with families and running a business.
