Head to Calgary's High Park if you're looking for fun & unique urban family photos!
This family brought all the fun! I mean, just look at their outfits, their connections and smiles. And that's just what Calgary's High Park is all about - FUN! At every corner there's a new colour, set up or city view to check out, so it's definitely not one of those typical sessions where you're frolicking in the grass. This location is perfect for families, couples & expecting mamas looking for something different. It calls for edgy, urban style choices too, which is exactly what this family showed up in. Check out some of my favourite images from this family session with earring designer Brianna of Birds & Bri on Etsy and tell me you don't want to book your next photo session here!
P.S. Can you believe she found her dress at Joe Fresh? AMAZING find! And a great place to shop for the family!
What to know if you want urban family photos at High Park in Calgary
Photo sessions at High Park are ideal for:
- Families, couples, even expecting moms with an urban edge, who enjoy time in the city and like casual, yet edgy fashion.
- Someone who is looking for something different
- Those who like colour! Lots of colourful street art here to use in the shots.
What to wear for photos at High Park:
Think urban, edgy, casual & cool for photos at High Park in Calgary. Because of all the colour & surroundings, I'd keep your outfits simple & clean. Jeans & tees work well here. Simple silhouettes if you would like to wear a dress. Minimal patterns and if you do use a pattern, I'd stick with an edgier one like leopard print or stripes. Plaid could work as well if you're staying near the more neutral, concrete areas. I would definitely stay away from florals, flowy dresses and more "summery, sweet" looks. Save those looks for family photos in the grassy fields.
