They requested an outfit change too (to get both dreamy & casual images) and honestly, I don't know which vibe I like better - there are just so many beautiful ones! L&L were just so smitten with each other and I just adore the way their faces just completely

I cannot stress this enough. Golden hour light is freakin MAGICAL and creates the dreamiest photos. It is soft, flattering and gives that little extra to an otherwise simple portrait. Good light is a crucial factor in photography and soft golden hour light is IDEAL for engagement photos because it creates so much more romance in photographs. Making a decision to marry the love of your life is such an important, exciting time in your life - why not give this moment the magic it deserves and book your engagement photos at golden hour to really create something special to remember this time?
Perfectly styled summer outfits: Dreamy mixed with casual
I just LOVED that this couple wanted both dreamy, romantic photos and casual, cool photos. It helped tell their story in such a beautiful way and allowed for so much variety. The dreamy, romantic vibe was created with her fitted, simple white dress. Images of them walking & dancing in the field were made even more magical with what she chose to wear. Then, when she slipped into a simple white tank & high-waisted jeans, I was able to capture their playful, relaxed side. When wearing jeans, it allows for more freedom of movement, so we did piggy back rides, running, and other fun poses & prompts. I'm definitely a fan of outfit changes after this one - the only thing I'd recommend is at least a one hour session to allow for more time.
A romantic connection
Ok, this couple brought the FIRE. Their romantic connection, comfortability & love for one another was obvious and I used that to my advantage when posing & prompting them throughout their session. When I'd encourage them to embrace or kiss, they weren't afraid to hold things a little longer to allow me to get different perspectives & play with lighting too. Trusting the photographer & lingering a little longer than usual definitely helps get the most perfect images for a romantic engagement session.

This particular location in Fish Creek Park is one of my most favourites and most popular for good reason. It is magical!! There are so many unique perspectives you can get here and I firmly believe that the location you choose helps tell your story that much better. With the open fields, moody skies, gorgeous tree & quiet pathways, we were able to create such a dreamy, fun, romantic session for L&L with so much variety. That's the thing - as a photographer I don't want to take the same photo over & over - I love to give you more! This beautiful location in Fish Creek allowed me to do that.
